Jason H. Wasfy MD MPhil is associate professor at Harvard Medical School, director of outcomes research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Heart Center, and a medical director of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. His research broadly uses quasi-experimental statistical approaches as well as qualitative methods to understand comparative effectiveness of treatment strategies and the effects of health policies and novel forms of care delivery on clinical outcomes. His group also seeks to understand mechanisms of improving the resilience of cardiology care and uses research techniques developed in economics and political science to understand the association of societal phenomena with public health outcomes. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed publications in academic journals, and he has mentored over 20 junior investigators.
