Dr. Issam D. Moussa is Professor of Medicine & Bioengineering at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and Medical Director of the Carle Heart & Vascular Institute.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Moussa performs complex catheter-based cardiovascular procedures. He has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles in prominent medical journals and has participated in over 100 clinical trials. His clinical research activities spanned the fields of coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, and structural heart disease. Currently, his work is focused on medical device development and use of artificial intelligence platforms in cardiovascular disease.
