Sameer Gafoor MD is Medical Director of Structural Heart and Valve Program at Providence-Swedish Heart and Vascular in Seattle, WA, Co-lead of transcatheter valve therapies for Providence St. Joseph Health Systems, as well as attending physician at CardioVascular Center in Frankfurt Germany. After medical school at Northwestern and IM training at the University of Michigan, he completed cardiology/interventional/structural heart training at the Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center, Emory, and the CVC Frankfurt. His interests include structural heart interventions, including valvular heart disease, left atrial appendage occlusion, heart failure therapies, pulmonary embolism and hypertension therapies, and device development. Aside from his clinical work, he has published extensively and serves as research principal investigator on multiple trials.
