Mauricio G. Cohen, MD, FACC, FSCAI is the Director of Structural Heart Interventions at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is originally from Argentina and trained at Duke University. In 2011, he received the “Stop Heart Disease Researcher of the Year Award” by the Florida Heart Research Institute. The same year SCAI recognized Dr. Cohen as an “Emerging Leader” in interventional cardiology. He chaired the AHA Acute Care Committee (2016-2018) and the SCAI Ischemic Heart Disease Council (2020-2022). He co-authored a various of AHA Scientific Statements and the 2021 ACC/AHA/SCAI Revascularization Guidelines. His major clinical and research interests include structural heart disease, transcatheter valve therapies, high-risk PCI, and transradial catheterization. Dr. Cohen has more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
