Shashank S. Sinha, MD, MSc, FACC, FAHA is a board-certified Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Transplant Cardiologist at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, where he serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Director of the Cardiovascular Critical Care Research Program. He is an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He has a strong clinical and scientific interest in improving the quality of care for patients experiencing cardiac critical illness, including cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and acute heart failure. He has authored > 80 publications in top-tier journals including JAMA Internal Medicine, JACC, JACC: Heart Failure, Circulation, amd Circulation: Heart Failure. He serves as a Steering Committee member for the Cardiogenic Shock Working Group and the Critical Care Cardiology Trials Network.
