Dr Guagliumi is leading the Innovation in Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Research Program at the IRCCS Hospital Galeazzi Sant’ Ambrogio in Milan, Italy. He has a long-standing practical and research expertise in complex coronary interventions with intravascular imaging guidance. Dr. Guagliumi is a pioneer in clinical use of light-based imaging for evaluating coronary atherosclerosis and stenting. He’s involved in early-stage development of innovative imaging technologies, including new generation OCT and hybrid imaging systems, AI application to medical imaging (non-invasive and invasive) and new light-based therapeutic treatments of advanced atherosclerotic disease. Dr. Guagliumi has authored 291 peer-reviewed publications in cardiovascular research and clinical trials across all prestigious cardiology journals.
