Prof. Edward Koifman is the director interventional cardiology at Meir Medical Center, Kfar Saba, Israel. He graduated medical school at Sackler school of medicine in Tel-Aviv university, finished internal medicine residency in Chaim Sheba Medical Center, where he also finished cardiology fellowship. He was an Interventional cardiology fellow at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for 3 years where he conducted research in various fields of cardiovascular medicine in addition to clinical training in complex coronary, structural and peripheral interventions.
His current interests are intracoronary imaging and physiology, application of artificial intelligence in the cath lab, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve repair, complex coronary interventions including left main disease and chronic total occlusions.
