Ayman A. Magd , is a Professor and current Chief of Cardiology at Azhar University & served on the Board of Trustees of SCAI . He was a pioneer of Interventional cardiology in his region , the first to show that coronary heart disease patients can be treated via cardiac catheterization rather than surgery performing Coronary interventions from 1991 till the present He was the first to do Acute MI PCI , Bifurcation lesions , SVG interventions as well as the first CTO , the first Transradial PCI in 1993 .His current research intrests are Coronary Left Main, AMI & complex Highr Risk Interventions ,TAVR , as well as antiplatelet agents and platelet aggregation He also Cofounded multiple socities in Egypt such as The first Working Group on Cardiac Interventions , Thrombosis , Hemostasis Working Group and the Pharmaco Therapeutic Working Group along with other pioneers in Egypt.
