Federico M. Asch, MD

Dr. Asch is the Director of the Echocardiography Core Lab and Director of Cardiac Imaging Research for MedStar Cardiovascular Research Network at Washington Hospital Center. He has an academic appointment as Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. Dr. Asch has served as chair of ASE’s Guidelines and Standards Committee, is a past member of the ASE Board of Directors and ACC Digital Steering Committee and chaired the IRB of MedStar Health Research Institute.
Dr. Asch's areas of interest are interventional echocardiography and Structural heart disease, specifically the use of imaging in clinical trials and the adoption of novel technologies such as those derived from Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Asch has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, including NEJM, Lancet, Circulation, JACC and JASE .
