Dr. Nicholson is acting associate professor of medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and Director of Complex Coronary and Cardiac Intervention at Emory Healthcare. Dr. Nicholson also serves as the program director for the advanced Complex High-Risk Interventional Procedures (CHIP) fellowship at Emory Healthcare.
While proficient in the spectrum of interventional cardiology procedures, Dr. Nicholson is nationally and internationally recognized for his expertise in the treatment of Chronic Total Occlusions. He has been a regional or national host for over 120 training courses, personally educating more than 500 practicing interventional cardiologists in complex procedures. He has extensive publications in the field of complex coronary intervention and is a perennial live invited operator for national conferences such as Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) and CTO Summit.
