Dr. Nikolaos Spilias is an interventional and structural cardiologist and an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. His main research interest is in the field of structural heart disease, focusing on innovation, procedural optimization and improvement of patient outcomes. He has numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. In 2021, he received the Young Author Achievement award from the American College of Cardiology for his project on 3D printing for patients with complex tricuspid valve disease. Dr. Spilias’ goal is to provide world-class, top-quality care to patients with heart disease by using the latest and most advanced procedural therapies. He is passionate about advancing the field through innovative research and mentoring the new generations of interventional cardiologists.
