Dr Dakhil completed an interventional cardiology fellowship program ranking first among graduates in 2019. The only female academic and interventional cardiologist in Iraq. She is affiliated at Ibn Al-Bitar Cardiac Centre (Baghdad/Iraq). She is recently finished MSc in Clinical Trials/ University of Oxford after being awarded a scholarship from University of Oxford. She is a WHF Emerging Leader. She conducted the first clinical audits in cardiology in Iraq that focused on adherence to guidelines in NSTE-ACS, HF, and device implantation. She focuses on gender disparities in CVD in her research &MINOCA. She is interested in roadmaps that focus on cardiac services in low-resources setting as well as healthcare disparities in emerging countries. She is an advocate for the role of women in cardiology. Her dream is to help in establishing the Women Heart Clinic and to see such clinic a part of every cardiac centre in Iraq
