Dr. Elena Amin is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and a medical advisor for HeartPoint Global. She is a congenital and pediatric interventional cardiologist performing cardiac interventions for patients of all ages ranging from fetal cases to adults. Dr. Amin also specializes in pediatric pulmonary hypertension as part of the UCSF Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Specialist Center. She has expertise in biomedical design having completed research fellowships at the NIH/NHLBI laboratory of molecular cardiology and the cardiovascular intervention program. Her current research focuses on preclinical ovine models, and clinical outcomes of pharmacologic and transcatheter interventions for congenital heart disease and pediatric pulmonary hypertension.
