Dr. Wally Omar is an Assistant Professor at Hofstra – Northwell Health School of Medicine. He is an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist, and serves as a director of Structural Heart Disease at Northwell Health. He has a special interest in transcatheter valve therapies, electrosurgery, adult congenital heart defects, complex coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Omar completed a Structural Heart fellowship at Harvard Medical School – Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He also serves as faculty at the BAIM Institute for Clinical Research, where he designs and executes clinical trials for novel therapies and devices.
