Mandeep Singh is a fourth-year medical student at NYITCOM and an aspiring cardiologist. He is completing his scholarly year as a cardiology research fellow at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center. His research interests include the role of intravascular imaging-guided percutaneous coronary interventions and calcium modification techniques, such as intravascular lithotripsy, orbital, and rotational atherectomy. Currently, Mandeep is investigating the procedural efficacy and clinical outcomes of using intravascular lithotripsy in percutaneous coronary interventions for calcified in-stent restenosis. Additionally, he is conducting outcomes research to examine national trends and patient outcomes using national databases. Upon completing his medical education next year, Mandeep will pursue internal medicine training before applying for a cardiology fellowship.
