Dr Rocco A. Armonda is a Professor of Neurosurgery at Georgetown University Hospital and is the Director, Neuroendovascular Surgery MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He is a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon and neurointerventioinalist with over 25 years of experience, who served in the U. S. Army for 31 years. A graduate of the United States Military Academy, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Walter Reed Neurosurgery Residency 90-97, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Cerebrovascular Surgery/Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship 97-99. His focus is in the neuroendovascular/ microsurgical treatment of patients with acute ischemic and hemorrhage strokes with a specific focus on acute mechanical thrombectomy for the treatment of large vessel occulsion.
