Professor Christos Bourantas graduated from the medical school, University of Ioannina, and received his PhD degree from the same university in 2005. He completed his cardiology training in the United Kingdom in 2011 and after a post doc research fellowship at Thoraxcentre Erasmus Medical Centre and a post CCT fellowship in interventional cardiology in Newcastle he was appointed as a consultant in interventional Cardiology at Barts Health NHS Trust, UK. He has strong interest in research, education and training and he currently a honorary Professor at Queen Mary University London. His research interests focus on invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, computational modelling, vulnerable plaque detection and secondary prevention.
