His main research interests include ethics in research, preclinical (animal models) research on coronary and structural heart devices, as well as clinical reseach on coronary disease treatment, and Left Atrial Appendage and Patent Foramen Ovale Closure. He is also the President of the Ethics Committee of his hospital as well as President of Fundacion Epic, an Academic Research Organization currently organizing and sponsoring more than 40 different clinical trials and studies.
