Dr. Hiram Grando Bezerra is an Interventional Cardiologist and the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Center @ Tampa General Hospital.
He is Professor of Medicine at University of South Florida. Dr Bezerra practiced in Cleveland (CWRU – UH) for more than one decade at various capacity including cath lab Director and during that time established the first OCT core laboratories in the world. He has more than 250 peer review papers and lead seminal trials for FDA approval of the technology (OCT) and various multicenter trials involving intravascular imaging (IVUS,OCT).
Currently @Tampa General Hospital Dr Bezerra has his clinical activity split between structural heart, MCS and coronary interventions.
Recent highlights:
1-Pioneering concious sedation ICE guided LAAO.
2-Largest USA experience with CAVI (TricValve).
3-Interventional leader for C-Shock program.
4-FIH, HF-OCT case and national PI.
