Dr Yousif Ahmad is an Assistant Professor and Interventional/Structural Cardiologist at Yale University with particular expertise in CTO PCI. He has completed Advanced Fellowships in Structural Heart Disease at Cedars-Sinai and the CHIP Fellowship at Columbia University. He completed his General and Interventional Cardiology training at The Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London and holds a PhD in aortic and coronary physiolgy at Imperial College London. His thesis focused on the interaction between coronary hemdoynamics and aortic stenosis and his research saw him awarded the AHA Samuel A. Levine Young Clinical Investigator Award , EuroPCR Young Investigator Award and ACC Young Author Achievement Award. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in in journals including The Lancet, JAMA Internal Medicine, Circulation, European Heart Journal and JACC.
