Dr. Goldstein is the director of research and education In the Department of cardiovascular medicine at William Beaumont Hospital. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of interventional cardiology. His main research interests are acute coronary syndromes and atherosclerotic plaque characterization and utilization of both direct coronary imaging (NIRS-IVUS )as well as noninvasive CT angiography to delineate coronary plaque morphology, composition and stability. He has also spent over 40 years researching acute right ventricular infarction in general and the benefits of reperfusion and mechanical support devices in RV shock.
