Dr. Luis Guzman is a proffessor of medicine. Former Medical Director of University of Florida, VCU Pauley Heart Center’s, and Wake Forest University Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory. He specializes in newer antithrombotic agents for the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndromes as well as complex PCI including complex CTO, high risk cronary interventions and the use of Left Ventricular Assist Devices. He also focus on advanced techniques and treatment for patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD), with focus on patients with critical limb ischemia.. Dr. Guzman is a Fellow of the ACC and the SCAI. Former chair of the International Council, Board of Trustees, and member of the Educational Council of the SCAI. He is the recepiant of the Mason Sones' 2020 SCAI award.
