Dr Cara Hendry is Vice President (Corporate and Finance) of the British Cardiovascular Society. She is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.. She subspecialises in PCI and has an interest in management of complex coronary disease, cardiogenic shock, out of hospital cardiac arrest & promotion of equality and diversity in the workplace.
She graduated from University of Glasgow in 1997 & completed Specialist Training in Manchester and has conducted research in cardioprotection at the Hatter Cardiovascular Institute, University College London & was awarded the higher degree of MD in 2012. Her interventional fellowship was at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Vancouver Island, BC. She has also recently been awarded a LLM in Healthcare Ethics and Research.
