Anthony DeMaria is the Judy and Jack White Chair in Cardiology at the University of California, San Diego. He is a general cardiologist whose research has included many areas but primarily in cardiac imaging. He has served as the President of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) for 12 years. He has served on the Cardiology Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and as Chair of the Diagnostic Radiology Study Section of the NHLBI. He has published over 700 scientific articles,
