Dr. Hayder Hashim is an assisstant professor of cardiology at Georgetown University and a full time faculty in the divison of interventional cardiology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
As an interventional cardiologist he has published his research in several peer reviewed journals and often gives presentations about his work at national and international meetings. He is particularly interested in coronary intravascular imaging and physiology , coronary artery plaque modification and alternative vascular access techniques.
Dr. Hashim completed a residency program in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his intevrentional cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.
